In an attempt to defraud unsuspecting victims while posing as representing the interest of Lagos State Police, internet hackers has opened facebook and twitter account on the names of Lagos State Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) “ DSP Ngozi Concita Braide”.
Raising the alarm a press statement made available to Urhobotoday signed by Lagos State Police Public Relation Officer, Ngozi Braide, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), the Lagos Police image maker revealed that the attention of Lagos State Police Command has been drawn to the activities of impostors posing as the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officers via facebook account name ” DSP Ngozi Conchita Braide.
Braide who said she did not own neither facebook nor twitter accounts warned the perpetrators of the devilish act to desist henceforth or face the wrath of the law as their action is not only an embarrassing to the Nigeria Police Force but a criminal offence punishable by law.
“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command has already set up a high powered investigation body to fish out the culprits. He also warns the general public to beware to avoid falling victims of criminals and fraudsters impersonating the Lagos State PPRO and other prominent citizens,” the statement affirmed..
