Key leaders of the Okpe nation will on Sunday meet in Lagos to discuss the way forward for the Okpe kingdom.
A statement by the Secretary General of Okpe Union Worldwide, Mr. Henry Ebireri said the meeting is a broad-based one and a step toward a better future for the Okpe nation and an end to the leadership crisis rocking the over eighty two years old union of the Okpe people.
The peace and reconciliation meeting, according to the secretary general is aimed at healing the wounds that have visibly divided some of the members of the union, Okpe traditional council and the ruling houses.
The meeting which is planned to hold on Sunday, December 2, 2012 in the Okpe Union Headquarters, Lagos will draw together the top leaderships in the kingdom.
The meeting, which is part of the recommendation put forward by the Okpe Leaders of Thought, is further aimed at reconciling warring factions in the Okpe Union crisis.
