Another National Conference Delegate Passes on

Muhammed Jumare


LAGOS MAY 6TH (URHOBOTODAY)- Another elderly delegate to the ongoing National Conference, Mohammed Jumare, is dead.
Mr. Jumare, who is number 31 in the category of elder statesmen, is believed to have died in the early hours of Monday in his Abuja home.
The delegate was nominated to the Conference by the Kaduna State Government.

A source who is not authorised to speak on the matter but volunteered the information to us said the delegate was sick even before he was nominated to the Conference.
She said, “Another sad incident occurred today in the National Conference. A delegate from Kaduna State, Prof. Mohammed Jumare died early this morning.
“The Conference secretariat has been informed of the death of the elder delegate but the news is yet to be released to other delegates.”
According to the source, the remains of the deceased were immediately taken back to Kaduna State where it was received by family members and associates.
We learnt that the deceased has since been buried in Zaira according to Islamic rites.
Attempts to speak to the Assistant Secretary, Media and Communications, James Akpandem, failed as he was said to be attending a meeting with the leadership of the Conference.
Mr. Jumare is the second delegate who has passed on at the ongoing National Conference.
The first was Hamman Misau, a delegate representing the Association of Retired Police Officers of Nigeria, ARPON.
Mr. Misau, a retired police officer, died at the National Hospital Abuja
