LAGOS APRIL 22ND (URHOBOTODAY)-Group under the aegis of Network for Good Governance (N4GG) has condemned in strong term Monday bombing of a bus station in Nyanya, Abuja suburb of which no fewer than 72 people were confirmed dead and 100 seriously injured.
The group equally called on security agents to be more proactive in fighting crime so as to prevent the callous loss of innocent souls in the country.
While condoling the family of those who lost their love ones in the bomb blast, N4GG COUNTRY DIRECTOR, CHIEF SUNNY ONUESOKE in a statement AT ABUJA AIRPORT titled, “ Time to Stop this Endless Killing” condemned the attack describing the perpetrators as coward, just a he called on security agents to be proactive in crime fighting so as to abort the senseless killings that have envelop the country.
“It is hard to believe that this is happening to us, no matter the anger or grievances in anybody’s mind. This war on defenseless citizens is uncalled for. This is inhuman and unarguably ungodly,” the statement read.
The group also strongly condemned all indiscriminate killings and acts of violent extremism in the northern parts of Nigeria, stressing that the perpetrators of this attack and those responsible for the continious brutal attacks must be brought to justice.
ONUESOKE however called for an urgent need for security agents to review its methods and strategies for dealing with terrorism.
“When we say security agents should be proactive in fighting this scourge, we mean they should trace out the source of the criminals, their planning base and smoke them out before they strike. The perpetrators of thee dastardly acts are human beings. They have a planning base. The security under cover agents should go underground, do proper investigation and abort their attempts to attack,” the group advised.
Going spiritual, the group said, “May God see us through these terror and whoever is behind this madness, killing of innocent lives and destruction of properties, no matter how high or low, how powerful or strong or weak, Muslims, Christians or Pagans, Northerners or Southerners, No matter their political allegiance or tribe, May God fish them out, expose them, destroy them, humiliate them.”
