Results of Delta APC Ward Congress still Pending, Three Days After

LAGOS APRIL 15TH (URHOBOTODAY)—Three days after the Delta State All Progressives Congress, APC, ward congresses were held across the 25 local government areas of state with a large turn-out of party faithful in most of the councils, results of the exercise are still being awaited.
Despite the large turnout of party members across the state, a few hitches were noticed in the early hours of the accreditation exercise, particularly in parts of Delta South senatorial district, following the late arrival of ballot materials. The hitches were resolved by party officials, when ballot materials were later received by the election committee, thus restoring normal accreditation and subsequent voting.
A stalwart of the party Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, told Vanguard that “the congress was successful. A few hitches were noticed, but we quickly resolved them. We appreciate the efforts of everyone.”
Another party stalwart, Major Isaac Tobore, (rtd), said: “There can be no congress more successful than this. It was a successful congress. It was conducted in a credible manner. Everyone is happy and the party has gained enormous ground in the state.”
