LAGOS JANUARY 31ST (URHOBOTODAY)-Delta State Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has frowned at abusive languages used by members of All Progressive Congress (APC) on the person of the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, saying their action is laughable.
Reacting to publications on facebook page of Delta State acclaimed APC Spokesman, Dr Fred Oghenesivwe titled, “Gov Okowa is Confused, Helpless and Lack the Moral Integrity to Govern Delta State,” Onuesoke described the statement as a mischievously ill advised utterance, especially by a person who desires some modicum of respect.
He said the above headline is the opposite of Okowa’s present frame of mind and success achieved in few months in office, adding that the false information members of Delta APC have been feeding the public about Okowa is their own figment of imagination and lack any iota of truth.
Speaking to a group of journalists in Warri, Delta State, Onuesoke said Oghenesivbe as someone who claimed to be a Ph.d holder and a legal luminary was expected to be decent in public communication but unfortunately the reverse is the case.
“Why is Fred Oghenesivbe always imputing the Governor’s name in every garbage he shun out? Well his outcry may be an alibi upon which to seek recognition and tag on somewhere. Let the truth be told. Anyone following him as a leader has lost it. He cannot be insulting the office of the number one man of the state and wish everyone to clap for him,” Onuesoke said.
He said for all this while members of Delta State APC have been calling Okowa names but have not
been able to publish one single documentary evidence of corruption or wrong doing in Okowa’s government.
Describing Oghenesivbe and his co APC travelers action as drowning people who want others to drawn along with them, he said Okowa administration had stretched itself through fiscal prudence in meeting the aspirations of the people of Delta , adding that against this background, he must be recognized and commended for recording outstanding strides against all odds.
Onuesoke said it is gratifying to note that the state’s Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurship Program and Skills Training Entrepreneurship Programs have kicked off in earnest with discerning observers alluding to the transparent nature of the selection process, adding that the comprehensive approach of the Okowa administration in meeting educational challenges in the State has leapfrogged the rating of the state by way of key indices of educational development.
He advised that Okowa should be allowed to continue to develop every facet of the state’s economy, and not be stampeded by an opposition which should be hiding its face in shame, having been thoroughly rejected by the electorate at the poll.
