LAGOS SEPTEMBER 7TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Director of Project to the Governor of Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has described the achievement of Delta State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Okowa one hundred days in office as excellent and credible.
Onuesoke who made the commendation while addressing journalists in his office at Asaba, Delta State recalled that Okowa on resumption of office as the Governor of Delta State three months ago came hitting the ground running as he presented four bills in less than one week of his assumption in office to the State House of Assembly and declaring a near emergency in giving face lift to Asaba as he proposed in one of the bills now signed to law the establishment of State Capital Development Agency, SCDA the first of its kind in the history of Delta state.

Within the period of his 100 days in office according to Onuesoke, Okowa has initiated “life changing projects” which will certainly impact positively in the lives of the entire people of the state for a long time to come, adding that the Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurship Programme, YAGEP and Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Program, STEP are few amongst the projects driven by the governor to ensure that prosperity takes the place of poverty in Delta state.
Onuesoke pointed out that apart from the aforementioned, Okowa recorded great achievements in the choice of those he appointed as executive members, his aides and the reconstitution of the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, adding that the choice of personalities he appointed had shown enough proof that he is a visionary leader that would take the people of Delta State to the land “flowing with milk and honey”
“ Since his assumption of office, he had renovated three technical schools , empowered over 6000 youths, constructed drainage in Delta Central, South and North Roads, renovated and completed Sapele Market, Okpe Model Market and other markets in Delta State and expanded Nnebisi Road down to traffic lights in Asaba.
“Other achievements are the r inauguration of Delta State Peace Advisory Council, ongoing road construction, upgrading of Asaba International Airport and renovation and completion of various hospital in Delta State among others,” Onuesoke noted.
He pointed out that if Okowa could achieved so much within such a short time of three months it means he would achieved a lot on completion of his term in office.
