Group Refutes Report on Certificate Forgery, Suspension of DESOPADEC Commissioner, Okolugbo

Kenny Okolugbo

LAGOS MAY 14TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Group under aegis of Ndokwa Good Governance Initiative has refuted report making the rounds alleging that DESOPADEC Commissioner representing Ndokwa, Mr Kenny Okolugbo has been suspended by the Delta State House of Assembly over issues of certificate forgery, describing such report peddled by politicians in connivance with the media as lies and misleading.
Reacting to the report in a statement made available to Urhobotoday an online medium, the group said there is no iota of truth in the story allegedly published by Sahara Reporters, stressing that the report is a clear case of campaign of calumny by some local politicians who are jittery over the politics of 2015.

“It should be noted that at no time did the Delta State House of Assembly sat at plenary to suspend Hon. Kenny Okolugbo That any information, emanating from any person or group of persons with
regard to the suspension should be disregarded by the general public, as it is a clear work of distractors.
“On the issue of certificate forgery, it should also be noted, that one of the person Mr. Azuka Russel Enujeke), carrying the fake information of the certificate forgery has been charged to court, in suit number: CMA/131C/2014. COP VS Azuka Russel Enujeke, on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police, who recommended that Mr. Confidence Ajede, who later turned out to be Mr. Azuka Russel Enujeke after further investigation, should be charged to court for giving False information and also charged for using fictitious name in petitioning Mr. Kenny Okolugbo to the Police,” the statement read.
Contrary to earlier report that Okulogbo tendered a sworn affidavit as his degree certificate before the House, the group stated that Okolugbo tendered his Degree certificate where he graduated from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma 1996/1997 with a Second class Honours, while he was testifying for the prosecution in court on 08/05/2014 and was admitted as exhibit.
“We ask Sahara reporters, when and where they met Sir. Kenny Okolugbo that amounted in quoting him as contradicting himself and at the same time being boastful knowing full well that this issue bothering on his academics is already in court. Okolugbo has little or nothing to say else it will amount to prejudice.
“On the point of alleged diversion of public funds meant for
development, we make bold to say, Hon. (Sir) Kenny Okolugbo had
done/commissioned more projects in Ndokwa Nation, since the inception of DESOPADEC; which was evidenced in him being christened MR. PROJECT by one of his colleague in the commission. Therefore, there is no iota of truth in this as it is a mere propaganda by local politicians, who are afraid of the numerous monumental projects embarked upon and commissioned under Hon. Okolugbo’s purposeful and eventful one year stay in office,” the statement read.
