Delta State: Police Arrests Undergraduate for Kidnapping 6yrs Old Girl in Church
LAGOS DECEMBER 4TH (URHOBOTODAY)-An undergraduate of Novena University in Ogume (Amai Campus), has been detained by the Delta State Police Command, Asaba for allegedly kidnapping a six-year-old girl.
The police identified the suspect as Mr. Samuel Omogiade of the department of Energy and Petroleum Studies who lives No. 56 Okere Ugborikoko Road, Warri.
Police sources further confirmed that the police were on a routine patrol of churches and vulnerable points, when they received information that a six-year-old girl, later identified as Miss. Elohoh Faith, had been kidnapped from the premises of Living Faith Church, at water resources, off Effurun/Sapele road Enerhen.
According to police, based on this information, they swung into action and the victim’s abductor was arrested. The little girl, whose hands and face were tied with cello tape, was also rescued.
The suspect was arrested just as he was trying to check into Garden Hotel at Enerhen junction in Warri.
The suspect according to the police had made useful confessional statements to the police, while the victim had reunited with her family.
