Delta Govt Completes 1st Phase of Warri/Effurun Water Project

LAGOS SEPTEMBER 9TH (URHOBOTODAY)Delta State Government has completed the first phase of Warri/Effurun Water projects which is expected to connect no fewer than 4,000 homes with portable drinking water.
This was revealed recently when Delta State Commissioner for Water Rescources, Dr. Chris Oghenechovwen led a high power delegation to inspect the project which started in 1989.
While addressing the press before the commencement of the inspection, Oghenechovwen said as part of Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan finishing strong strategy, he had revitalized and completed the first phase of the project which has seen about 4000 homes connect with portable drinking water.
Project Manager of AG Goldtrust Limited Engr. Femi Fateru who described the project as the tallest and biggest water tower in Nigeria commended Delta State Government for ensuring the completion of the project.
He assured that the phase 2 of the project which entails connecting up to 15,000 homes have already commenced and additional 54km of pipeline will be connected to cover more areas.
Kudos to Dr. Chris Oghenechovwen, Honourable commissioner for Water Resources who made this dream a reality under his supervision as the commissioner water resources.
