LAGOS APRIL 30TH (URHOBOTODAY)-With the present economical hardship and insecurity bedeviling the country, Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has advised Nigerians to beware of the intrigues of All Progressive Congress APC as a political party.
He said when APC came into power Nigerians were rejoicing hoping of changing to a better live as they promised, but quickly added that with the present situation of things in the country they have shown that their change mantra is deceptive.
Onuesoke who handed out the warning in Abuja on Friday observed that during the campaign in the last election, APC lured Nigerian with change mantra which involved turning around the economic, social, political and security lives of the people, adding that as soon as they found themselves in power at the national level they denied all the lofty promises which made unsuspecting masses voted for Muhammadu Buhari as the President of Nigeria.
Describing the party as a party with devious objectives, Onuesoke maintained that ever since the party found itself in power, things have never been the same for the masses as Nigerians have been living from hand to mouth.
“Rather for things to change for good as they promised, things have rather changed to worst. Nigerians who were feeding comfortably during the tenure of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan cannot afford two square meals under President Muhammadu Buhari. Prices of food, goods and services have gone out of the reach of the people who voted him as President. Fuel pump price had been on the high side for the past three months without any solution. Even the anti-corruption war is a lopsided one,” he said.
Reiterating that APC was not ready for governance, he advised Nigeria to have a rethink and vote out APC in 2019 election so as to live a better life.
Going spiritual, Onuesoke said, “ In Proverb 24; 21-22 God said, my son, fear Yaweh and the King, and company not with them that are given to change (APC) in the Bible…(22) for their calamity shall rise suddenly and the destruction from them both who knows it? You are warned.
“God warned us about those shouting change but we did’t listen. Now the calamity is not only on them, but the whole country. It says don’t rejoice when a righteous man falls.”
