LAGOS JUNE Isiokolo Headquarters of Agbon (Ethiope East L.G.A) and Oghara (Ethiope West L.G.A) Kingdoms were agog recently as Olorogun Barrister Emmanuel Okpako Ganiga, National President, Urhobo Progress Union (U.P.U), United Kingdom and his amiable wife, Mrs. Helen Linda Ganiga were conferred with chieftaincy titles of OBAKORE and ORHIE OGHENE of Agbon Kingdom respectively by HRM Ukori 1, Ogurimerime, Ovie of Agbon Kingdom amidst pomp and pageantry.
In his brief remarks at the ceremony that attracted people from within and outside the country amongst whom were top politicians, captains of industries and crème-de-la-crème of the society, HRM Ukori 1 disclosed that Olorogun Ganiga has written his name in gold as he has and still working hard to move Urhobo nation to the next level.

According to HRM Ukori 1, “Olorogun Ganiga is a chief in his home kingdom of Oghara, he is also a prominent chief of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom and he is the national president of the UPU, United Kingdom
(U.K). He is a patriot, working for the overall development of Urhobo nation including Agbon Kingdom, I want to call on all Urhobo sons and daughters at home and in the Diaspora to emulate Olorogun Ganiga.”
At the well attended reception party in Oghara, Engr. (Chief) Joe Omene, President General, (Worldwide), Urhobo Progress Union (U.P.U) said that Olorogun Ganiga is an Urhobo patriot of no mean repute who spends his time and hard earned money for the advancement and growth
of Urhobo nation, adding that he brought dynamism as national president of the U.P.U, United Kingdom to revolutionize activities of the umbrella body of Urhobo nation in diaspora, adding, “the overall
welfare of our people and development is uppermost in his mind for example, through the scholarship scheme for Urhobo sons and daughters in higher institutions , he is empowering our children, he has and still contributing to the development of Urhobo Language centre in Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU), these are just tips on the iceberg, he is a team player and a philanthropists to the core withpassion for Urhobo nation and her people.”

In his remarks, Engr. Hon. Emmanuel Ighomena, former Delta state PDP Deputy Chairman, member, Governing Council, DELSU, Abraka and chairman of the reception party congratulated Olorogun Ganiga and his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Helen Ganiga for bagging the chieftaincy titles of Obakore and Orhie Oghene of Agbon Kingdom respectively saying that a golden fish has nowhere to hide as their good deeds and patriotism to Oghara and Urhobo nation has brought them out for the recognition accorded them by the first class Agbon monarch, HRM. Ukori 1, Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, he prayed God to grant them many more fruitful years of service to humanity.
Also speaking, Chief William Ibori, Unugbrogodo(Spokesman) of Oghara Kingdom described Olorogun Ganiga as a good man in all ramifications saying that, “I got the invitation to attend this ceremony at very short notice, ordinarily, I would have turned it down but because of the type of person Olorogun Ganiga is, not only to me, but to all in Oghara Kingdom and Urhobo nation as a whole, you can see the
manifestation of this from the calibre of notable people that are here and were in Isiokolo, palace of HRM Ukori 1, Ovie of Agbon Kingdom.

He has the overall interest of the people at heart, he is a selfless and a servant leader who wants the growth and betterment of his people. He brought in dynamism as leader of Oghara Clan Union, United Kingdom as well as national president, U.P.U, United Kingdom, I pray God to grant him and his amiable wife long life and wisdom to carry on.”
In his brief remarks, Olorogun Ganiga who is the Erhuvwurorho of Oghara Kingdom, the Eterherame of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom and now the Obakore of Agbon Kingdom expressed his appreciation to God for the opportunity to work for the growth and progress of Urhobo nation and humanity, he expressed his appreciation to HRM Ukori 1, Ovie of Agbon Kingdom for finding him and his wife worthy of the chieftaincy titles saying that the recognition will make him to do more for Urhobo nation
and mankind.
While noting that he was overwhelmed for the recognition and show of support by all, Olorogun Ganiga expressed his appreciation to all who took time out to honour him and felicitate with him.
Two other members of Urhobo Progress Union (U.P.U), United Kingdom (U.K) namely Evang. Chief Isaac Uwhokori National Vice President, UPU U.K , Chief Robert Odiete, Ex-Officio, UPU, U.K were also conferred chieftaincy titles of OKPEGBORO and AKPOVONA of Agbon kingdom respectively by HRM Ukori 1 , Ovie of Agbon Kingdom.
The ceremony that was anchored by two notable orators, Chief Achonachor and Original Mozel was attended by notable chiefs of Agbon kingdom that includes Chief Emmanuel Avworo, Secretary, Agbon
Traditional Council of Chiefs, Chief Orogun, Otota of Agbon Kingdom, Hon. Solomon Golley, chairman, Ethiope West Local Government Council, some serving Councilors from Ethiope West L.G.C, Chief Joseph Omene, President General, U.P.U, Worldwide, Chief Mike Ederehwevbe, 1St Deputy President General, UPU , Chief Grace Usirare, Financial Secretary, UPU, Chief William Ibori, Unugbrogodo of Oghara, Chief William Makinde, Managing Director, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) , Mr. Moses Ogbe, chairman, Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) and his family, Engr.
