LAGOS JANUARYU 26TH (URHOBOTODAY)-The Monarch of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom, HRM Okerefe 1 has conferred the chieftaincy title of Etere -Rame of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom on the National President of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), United Kingdom, Olorogun (Barr.) Emmanuel Okpako Ganiga in his palace at Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli, North LGA, Delta State.
The elaborate conferment ceremony done on Saturday January 3rd, 2015 attracted people of all walks of life from the United Kingdom and within the country.
Those present at the ceremony were Chief (Engr.)Joe Omene, President General UPU worldwide, Members, National Executives, UPU, Chief (Engr. )Emmanuel Ighomena, Deputy chairman, PDP, Delta State, Dr. Henry Ofa, Commissioner on the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon Moses Ogbe Chairman, DSIEC , Chief William Ibori, Unugbrogodo of Oghara Kingdom and Chief A.D Tietie.

Others were Senior Palace Chiefs from Oghara Kingdom, Prince, Charles Abutor, London based businessman, Evang Isaac Uwhokori, Vice president, UPU, UK, Mr. Robbie Odiete,Ex Official Member, UPU, UK, Mr. Okpomor Okies Victor, Mr. Tony Omene, President, Oghara Elite Forum and Members, Chief Isaac Udju and Mr. Precious Ajaino, immediate past Transition Committee chairman,Ethiope West L.G.A, Chief Okpedo President Golden Good Friends, Sapele and members and Beautiful Sisters Clubof Oghara among others.
Speaking during the Ceremony, HRM Okorefe 1 described Olorogun Ganiga, London based legal icon cum business mogul from Oghara kingdom as a worthy Urhobo son in Diaspora who go all length to protect the interest of Urhobo nation both at home and abroad.

The Monarch advised Chief Ganiga , now a double chief to keep the flag flying as all his efforts aimed at contributing in repositioning the Urhobo nation would not go unnoticed and unrewarded.
In his brief remarks, Olorogun Ganiga expressed appreciation to the monarch for finding him worthy to be so honoured. He also expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the UPU under Chief Joe Omene and members of his executives, palace chiefs of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom, friends, family members and well wishers for honouring him with their presence at the ceremony. He prayed God to grant them their heart desires as he promised that the honour done him by the monarch would spur him to be more committed to Urhobo cause.
Another recipient, Olorogun (Mrs)Felicia Akpodono- Anidi, a London based business woman and President, Eguono Ladies, UK was among those also conferred with chieftaincy titles by the Agbarha-Otor monarch.
