LAGOS MAY 7TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Suspected armed robbers have shot dead Mr. Christopher Timinimi, brother to Mr. George Timinimi, former Commissioner for Transport, while reversing his car near Idiaregbe Junction, Okere/Ugborikoko Road in Okumagba Layout of Warri. Timinimi was later rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he died.
Timinimi, a middle aged man, is from Kunukunuma in Gbaramatu kingdom. A family source said: “The incident occurred at 7:30p.m. around Idiaregbe by Okere Ugborikoko Road. According to an eyewitness, my brother was shot by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers.
“He was rushed to nearby clinic by some good Nigerians. When I got there, he was being treated and he was revived that Saturday night.
“It was unfortunate that next day, Sunday, at about 9:30a.m., the doctor invited another doctor he called a bone specialist, who operated on him and that was how the man bled to death.” Contacted on phone, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu, said she was yet to be briefed on the matter.
