DESOPADEC Representative, Amitaye Showers Gift on Less Privilege
LAGOS NOVEMBER 4TH (URHOBOTODAY)-The Commissioner representing Okpe, Ethiope West and Sapele in the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon. Jonathan Amitaye has showered various gift items including cash on the less privileged at a motherless home in Sapele, Delta State.
Items donated are sacks of rice, garri, beans, groundnut oil, palm oil, indomie noodles, toiletries, soaps, toothbrushes and paste among others.
In an interview with Urhobotoday an online medium, Amitaye said he is putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged persons as part of his social responsibility and to make them feel and know that the society care for them because they are part of the society.
“We need their prayers to succeed. We are doing this out of our widow’s might. The Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa cares, and the Speaker Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Monday Igbuya cares. We are emulating them,” he stressed, adding that he is in office to serve and as such attract more glory of God.
The owner of the Orphanage Home, Madam Monica Davis Buwa who said she had been taken care of less privileged persons for the past 43 years expressed happiness over the donation and prayed that Delta State Governor should assist her in caring for the children, just how the former Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan had assisted her the past.”
She called on well meaning Nigerians to emulate the kind gesture of Honourable Jonathan Amitaye.
She was full of praises and prayers for Honourable Amitaye, Rt. Hon. Monday Ovwigho Igbuya, Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State.”
