DESOPADEC Commissioner, Amitaye Wins Shoprite Campari Drink Promo Car, Says Agency has Commence Work
LAGOS DECEMBER 3RD (URHOBOTODAY)- Hon. Jonathan Okpako Amitaye, Commissioner representing Sapele, Okpe and Ethiope West in the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has won a brand new Kia Rio Car at the Shoprite Campari Drinks National Promotion after emerging as the national over all winner.
Addressing journalists at the premises of Shoprite, Warri, Delta State where the vehicle was presented to him, Amitaye expressed gratitude to God, adding that he was at an occasion when he got a call that he has won a Rio Car.
“I never dreamt of it by emerging as the winner not at all. But today it is like a dream come through. I never expected that I will win even the last price,” elated Amitaye explained.
Speaking on the activities of DESOPADEC, he disclosed that the commission has commenced intervention works in various oil bearing communities of the state with a focus on infrastructure and human capital development, with emphasis on youths and the training. He urged government at all levels to create enabling environment for investors to strive.
Amitaye maintained that DESOPADEC has penciled down everal projects and will commence work in three roads in Sapele in two weeks time, adding that the work would move to Ethiope West and next to Okpe.
“The drainage from Shell Road to Ikoyo Avenue will commence next week. We are going to start the drainage in Akintola with Okpe from the Ajogodo end as well,” he promised.
He noted that DESOPADEC believed human capital development and as such youths are going to be train by the commission in its acquisition centres in Ughelli and Oghara, while the commission’s farm at Ugborhen shall be put into proper use as well with emphasis on training of the girl child.
Miss Uwachukwu Chinyere, the Brand Manager of Campari Nigeria Limited while presenting the car key to Amitaye explained that the promotion was done to reward loyal customer and recruit new ones, adding that they never knew Amitaye before now until his ticket was selected in the final raffle draw in Lagos.
Amitaye is going to be Campari Nigeria Limited Ambassador for some time, while the Kia Rio car would carry Campari print on it for the one year among other terms of agreement.
