LAGOS AUGUST 24TH (URHOBOTODAY) –In continuation of appointments of members of his cabinet, Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has sent the names of Mr. David Edebvie , former Delta PDP gubernatorial aspirant from Ughelli North and former two term Burutu local government chairman, Asupah Forteta to the House of Assembly for approval as commissioners.
Urhobotoday, an online medium learnt that other six nominees sent to the House of Assembly for approval are Mr. Mofe Pirah from Warri South West, Mr. Chika Osai from Ndokwa East, Mr. Dan Okenyi representing Aniocha North and Mr. Henry Sakpara representing Udu Local Government Area.
Others are Mr. Jude Sinebe (Patani LGA), the son of a former State Chairman of the PDP, Pius Sinebe and Mr. Patrick Ukah from Oshimili North.
The governor’s letter, which was sent to the Speaker of the House of Assembly on Sunday urged the House to screen and confirm the nominees.
Mr. Okowa had previously appointed 12 commissioners and assigned them portfolios.
