He lamented that the dispute is arising this crucial period when it is the dream of Isoko as a people bound in brotherly destiny should form a united front and show more concern to eaxh other.
Appealing to both communities to give way for peaceful resolution of whatever be the issue in contention, the statement said, “It is common for a people even of same family to misunderstand each other but what matters is that the people involved should not loose sight of the fact that they are one.
“Our advice is that the CDC Chairmen and Chiefs from both divide should be focused in resolving the situation amicably without violence or escalation of the situation into avoidable crisis.
“History has it that both Igbide and Enwhe are one people who has from generation to generation maintained this oneness and it is imperative that this ancestral and historical bound be respected.
“We in IVC would appreciate a speedy resolution and the best way to start is to sheath your sword and seek for peace.
We therefore call on the President-General of Isoko Development Union (IDU) and the Local Government Chairmen of both Isoko South and Isoko North councils to call for peace meeting and sort out the differences. Both communities should stop killing themselves.”
