LAGOS MATCH 24TH (URHOBOTODAY)- Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has put adequate arrangement in place to train youths in boat building and other marine activities.
The plan of the Agency to train youths was revealed by the Managing Director of DESOPADEC, Olorogun Williams Makinde during an inspection tour by the Board of the Commission to Seatrucks Boat Yard, Warri, Delta State
Makinde who said the training is in line with the Smart Agenda of the state Governor Senator ( Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, disclosed that the training would be helpful to the youths in the riverine areas which major occupation is fishing.
He added that it would equally address the issue of unemployment and youth restiveness in the oil producing state.
