LAGOS SEPTEMBER 13TH (URHOBOTODAY)-It was celebration galore in London, United Kingdom when personalities from all walk of life came together ON September 10th, 2016 to celebrate the seventy years birthday ceremony of Chief (Mrs.) Florence Igue (JP), mother of Delta State Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain and Chairperson of Ethiope-East lLocal Government Area of Delta State, Chief (Mrs) Faith Majemite.

Despite the short notice and restriction of visitors, the venue of the event, Greenwich West Community and Art Centre, 141 Greenwich High Road, London SE108JA was filled to capacity with dignitaries who came to celebrate with Mama Igue for making it to seventy years old.

Some of the personalities who graced the occasion include member of House of Representative, representing Ehiope-East and Ethiope West Constituency, Barr Loveth Idisi, Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Chief Ighoyota Amori, United Kingdom Based legal luminary, Chief (Barr) Novwe Ikie, Former President of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) United Kingdom Branch, Chief Paul Akpofure, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Inonoje, Mrs Patience Ekojikoko, wife of multi –millionaire, Late Happy Ekojikoko and Glory Ekakitie among others.
The celebration of the seventy years birthday of Mama Florence Igue has no comparism as there were a lot to eat and exotic wine to push down the drinks. It brought Nigerians and people Delta State both those residents in United Kingdom and other areas together.
There was a standby Disco Jockey dishing old school both Nigeria and English music. It got a stage the hall became electrified as all elated well wishers took to the floor and started dancing old school music with Mama Igue.
Those who spoke to Urhobotoday correspondent said the music, food and activities in the event made them feel as if they were in Nigeria.
Speaking in the occasion, Member House of Representative, Barr Loveth Idisi recalled how he attended the same secondary school and university with the only son of Mama Florence Igue who later died in an auto accident.
He enjoined her to put the past behind her as the vacuum created by the demise of her only son had been filled by him (Idisi) as her son.
For those who attended the ceremony the fun and joy that trailed the ceremony will linger on in their memory for a long time.
