LAGOS NOVEMBER 8TH (URHOBOTODAY)-A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Sunny Onuesoke has described the rejection of the payment of N5, 000 to Nigerian unemployed youths by Senators of All Progressive Congress (APC) as a slap and big disappointment to Nigerian unemployed youths.
The APC Senators on Wednesday rejected motion for the payment of N5,000 monthly allowance to unemployed youths in the country.
The motion was sponsored by Sen. Philip Aduda (PDP FCT) but was greeted with shouts of “no, no” when he tried to expatiate on it.

Reacting to the rejection while speaking to journalist at Abuja, Onuesoke said the greatest change and insult to Nigerian since May 29th is the rejection of N5, 000 monthly stipends for the unemployed by APC senators, adding that the unemployed youths voted APC President and Senators into office because of their lofty promise but they rather turned against them by denying them part of their own national cake.
“I am disappointed that the APC senators could not even hide their shame. They were so brazen and mean even when they were the ones who proposed this ivory tower promise in the first place. They should have, at least, offered a national apology for their lies, before giving the reasons for their failure to keep to their promise. But instead, chose to play politics, by pushing a motion to begin an investigation into the accounts of the defunct SURE-P programme,” he stated.
Calling on President Muhammadu Buhari and APC Senators to resign for failing to execute their promise to Nigerian youths, he commended the maturity and love the PDP senators have for Nigerian youths for raising the N5,000 motion.
According to him, “The future of the youths in this country is blank. The worst of it all is that, the government is not ready to see anything good with all steps taken by last administration to improve the sufferings and lives of the youths. The decision of not keeping to their promise of 5,000 naira for every unemployed youth is just saying, we are not going to be giving the youths “fish” for sustenance.”
