Aggrieved Warri Youths Protest Non Creation Of Wards For LG Polls
LAGOS DECEMBER 7TH (URHOBOTODAY)- Aggrieved youths numbering over 100 yesterday took to the roads in Warri, Delta State to protest the non creation of Wards by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC).
It was learnt that the protesting youths blocked the old Port road to Okere Junction axis of Warri.
The gridlock which has lasted over one hour has caused difficulty in vehicular movement, causing a heavy build up of traffic in the ever busy town.
It was also learnt motorists who tried navigating through Central Hospital road found it difficult as the traffic has extended to Ayo road.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who confirmed the protest said the youths are protesting the non creation of Wards in Warri south local government area of the state.

Recently, It can be recalled that DSIEC disclosed that it has created 34 Wards across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
