2019: No Vacancy for Urhobo Governor in Delta State- Ex-Deputy Gov, Amos Utuama
LAGOS APRIL 24TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Prof. Amos Utuama, SAN has advised Urhobo indigenes dreaming of producing Urhobo governor in Delta State in 2019 to jettison the dream stating that there is no vacancy for Urhobo governor in 2019.
Utuama who made the statement during the People Democratic Party, PDP Delta Central Senatorial District, victory reception held yesterday at Oghara-Township stadium, Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area assured Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa that come 2019; the Urhobo nation will not produce a governorship candidate to challenge him, adding that the Urhobo people are happy with his administration and would want him to complete his eight years tenure.
Utuama stated further, that with the level of Urhobo participation in Okowa’s government and the developmental projects so far brought to the Delta Central Senatorial District, the Urhobo people would continue to support him and the PDP come 2019, because the Urhobos have no other party than the PDP.
Speaking earlier in the occasion Okowa had described his victory in the April 11 2015 governorship election in some part of Delta Central Senatorial District, as his personal effort, nothing that the rivalry amongst PDP leaders and major stakeholders would have cost the party victory, but for his personal effort in reaching out to the people.
According to him, “ my victory in the election in Delta Central was personal, however my first major appointment went to an Urhobo, which is the Secretary to the State Government, SSG.”
While emphasizing the need for the party leaders and stakeholders to be united ahead of 2019 election, the Governor added that he and some leaders of the party in the state are working very hard to re-position the party in Delta State, considering the fact that the PDP is now the opposition party at the center.
He therefore, urged party leaders to work in unity in the build up to the up coming congresses, stressing that the era where only one leader will nominate all the delegate for congress election is over, stating that all party leaders should be concern and limit their influence to their wards, while consulting other stakeholders’ in the LGA.
Why will he not say so when his Itsekiri ethnic group used him – an impostor to become Governor and Deputy Governor for 8 years?
\Nonsense!
Amos Utuama should not bother himself about Delta 2019 governorship election but should be worried about their loots trapped in their so called safe haven United Arab Emirate. I am baffled that Prof. Amos Utuama is not following the latest trend which is CHANGE. The arrest of whilom NSA Col. Dasuki and PDP chieftains that stole $2.4 billion money mete for procurement of ammunition to tackle Boko Harem. Maybe he has not also heard of the arrest of Fidelia Omoile INEC Electoral Officer for Isoko-south local government and Mrs Oluchi Obi Brown INEC Admistrative Secretary in Delta State by EFCC for taking bribe from PDP during the governorship election and distributing same to INEC Officers, Ad-hoc Officers and Returning Officers to rig the election for Okowa PDP. The Vice President just said some few days back that former and present leaders must give account of their wealth. EFCC periscope is focus on INEC right now and next will be debauch billionaire Tribunal Justices, The Appeal court justices and Supreme court Justices. Change is on it’s way and by the time the PDP realizes it, their canoodle with INEC, the Military and the third arm of the government will be over. Amos Utuama and his boss should be preparing to defend their loots, the speech they gave, the best selling books they author, the trillion dollars case they won that brought them to billionaire bracket, Nigeria will want to know. CHANGE FOR REAL!
Amos Utuama should be ignored by everyone. He is a ‘mumu’ man, and a coward too who is not making impact in his direct constituency let alone Delta State. This man is not worth any substance in Urhobo land.
PDP will not be able to manipulate or use INEC, The Police, and the Security agencies come 2019 election and therefore, there would be no room for them to settle the Judiciary anymore.
PDP only rely on INEC to do their bidding since 1999 but that privilege is now gone.
All the State assets sold by Uduaghan to PDP chieftains will be recovered from them
PDP is spending the gain of their last rigged election unfortunately
