2019: Atiku’s Wife Woes Clark’s Support For Husband’s Ambition

Chief Edwn Clark

LAGOS DECEMBER 5TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Lagos Wife of the People’s Democratic Party Presidential candidate in the 2019 elections, Mrs. Titi Abubakar, has sought the support of Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark, for her husband’s ambition.
She stated that the former Vice President was determined to fulfill his electoral promises to the nation, adding that he was only interested in the social-economic development of the country.
Speaking during a courtesy call on the elder statesman at his Asokoro, Abuja residence on Wednesday, the founder of Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation, refuted allegations of corruption against Atiku.
She also narrated how she met the former Vice President when he was a Customs Officer at Idiroko borders, Ogun State, adding that she was attracted to him by his candour and honesty.
Titi also recalled how she started the WOTCLEF which had so far rescued over 10,000 trafficked girls and rehabilitated hundreds of others.
She said, “I started the foundation by rescuing some Nigerians who were trafficked to Rome and by now, I have rehabilitated over 10,600 victims. I am still doing what I’m doing, I am not corrupt, neither is my husband corrupt. We don’t have a case with the EFCC or ICPC.”
Clark in his remarks stated that Atiku was endorsed by the various social-cultural groups in the country because he supported the agitation for the restructuring of the country.
The former Information Minister said there was no equity in the country, noting that Bayelsa State which produced the bulk of the nation’s revenue had only eight Local Government Councils while Kano had 44.
He admonished Nigerians to vote for Atiku, stressing that the nation at this time needed a leader who is competent and believes in restructuring.
“This is a task that all Nigerians have agreed to change the changer,” Clark said while advising the PDP candidate to be wary of double agents masquerading as supporters.
