LAGOS NOVEMBER 23RD (URHOBOTODAY)-The Executive Secretary of Urhobo Historical Society, Mr. Atete Ighoyivwi, has described as laughable, claims by a former staff of UPU, Mr. Jacob Eyagomare, that Olorogun Moses Taiga said he will pull down the UPU building and build a new one.
Speaking on Eyagomare’s, Ighoyivwi said Olorogun Taiga could not have said such a thing. “I was there at the meeting with the president generals of the 24 clans in Urhobo. What he said was that he will renovate the UPU House and give it a befitting look deserving of a house for the Urhobos. It is even part of his manifesto which is documented.
Ighoyivwi said the UPU House has become an eyesore and an embarrassment to the Urhobos and wondered why the UPU executive never bothered to give it the much needed facelift.
He urged, Eyagomare to occupy himself with selling his candidate rather making futile efforts to misquote and discredit Olorogun Taiga.
