LAGOS SEPTEMBER 26TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Africa’s richest man , Alhaji Aliko Dangote has come out to deny the rumour making the rounds that he ‘died’ in an unnamed German hospital at the age of 59.
The business mogul who sent the denial message through his twitter page, @AlikoDangote on Sunday afternoon simply said “I am hale, hearty and alive. Please disregard malicious report saying otherwise. Thank you.”
The German website that initially uploaded the story via http://dw-tv3.com/breaking-africas-richest-man-aliko-dangote-dies-in-germany/ still had the story on its website as at Sunday afternoon.
Our source within the Dangote Group has assured that arrangements are being made to officially release a statement to deny the rumour and to find out where the German website got the story.
We were also informed that Dangote’s lawyers are working on the next step since the website has refused to bring down the story. Legal steps are being considered.
