LAGOS FEBRUARY 26TH (URHOBOTODAY) – The Supreme Court has affirmed the ruling of Appeal court, which sentenced to death, the General Overseer Of the Christian Praying Assembly, Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, also referred to as “Reverend King”.
King has been earlier convicted and slammed with death penalty by a Lagos High Court having been found guilty of attempted murder and murder in 2007.
The convicted, after, appealed the ruling, but again lost, hence approached the apex court to oppose the rulings of the two lower courts.
Justice Sylvester Ngwuta who read the leadq judgment Friday, held that Pastor King’s criminal offences could be likened to make believe “horror movie”.
