Delta: Okowa Nominates 12 Commissioners, Sends Lists to Assembly

LAGOS JUNE 23RD (URHOBOTODAY)-Information reaching Urhobotoday an online medium has revealed that Delta State Governor, Dr Iifeanyi Okowa has nominated twelve names as Commissioner designate.
The twelve names forwarded to the House of Assembly for screening and approval according to our source are Dr Kingsley Emu, Hon Joyces Overa, Barr. Mary Iyasere, Arc.Joseph Ogear and Mr. Vincent Uduaghan.
Others are Rev. Dr Shola Williams, Chief Fidelis Okenmor Tilijie, Hon Barr John Nani, Barr. Newworld Safugha, Mr. Augustine Chikezie and Mr. Ebie Chiedu
The nominees are to appear before the house for screening on the 30th of June.
When Urhobotoday contacted Ifeanyi Okowa Special Assistant on Community Media, Mr Jonathan Onwuka he confirmed the report. He, however, affirmed that he is not too sure of the actual numbers of names sent to the Delta State House of Assembly.
“ Yes. The report is true. I am not sure of the actual number,” he said.
Attempt to speak to Ifeanyi Okowa Special Assistant on Media Affairs, Prince Efezobor was futile as he refused to answer several calls made to him.

    This is Ibori all over again. Chop make I chop pdp govt. I can hardly detect a technocrat among the lot who can transform the economic well being of Delta into a truly industrial economic power house to employ and empower our people. Unless, these is a change in the callibar of our politicians, we will never make it. For me! Okowa and Ogboru are not the people to take us to the promised land.
