Delta 2015: Isoko PDP Leaders Back Omo-Agege’s Governorship Ambition (PHOTOS)

LAGOS JULY 1ST (URHOBOTODAY)-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Leaders in Isoko South Local Government Area (LGA) has thrown their weight behind Delta State PDP Governorship aspirant Obarisi (Barr) Ovie Omo-Agege is his quest to become Delta State governor in 2015.
The Isoko South leaders who standing behind Omo-Agege are The Odion Ologbo of Isoko South, Chief Smith Evivie, former Delta State Commissioner, Mrs Elizabeth Ilolo, her husband Rev Paul Ilolo, Dr Eddy Ugboma and immediate past Vice Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Hon Orogun.
Others are Isoko South LGA Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Woman leader, Mrs Hope Ozanor, Hon (Amb) Mrs Agbalemor, Mrs Boboje, Dina Government and Mrs Panama among others.
The leaders and their followers unanimously agreed to support Omo-Agege when he visited Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South LGA to consult with the people and inform them about his ambition to become governor of Delta State in 2015.
Speaking on behalf of section of the PDP leaders, Rev. Paul Ilolo husband of former Delta State Commissioner, Mrs. Elizabeth Ilolo, having prayed fervently for God to protect Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege and guide him successful towards achieving his political ambition, described him as a moving cloud which would be good for all of them to move along with.
He said there is a moving cloud in Obarisi direction, stressing that he and his large followers of leaders have no alternative than to follow the Obarisi’s cloud.

“There is a moving cloud and it will be good we move with the cloud. There is a moving cloud in Obarisi’s direction. I and my followers have no alternative than to follow the moving cloud,” Rev Ilolo sang, while other leaders sang along with him.
His wife, one of the founder of PDP in Isoko South and former Delta State Commissioner, Mrs. Elizabeth Ilolo who described Ovie Omo-Agege as someone he knew very well and his father was her boss said she supported what her husband had said about moving along with Omo-Agege.
Hear her, “My husband has said it all in his prayers. Omo-Agege is a man I knew very well. His father was my boss. I wish him well in this journey. The finality is that we shall celebrate in government house.”

The Odion Ologbo of Isoko South LGA, Chief Smith Evivie also affirmed his support for Ovie Omo-Agege governorship ambition. He said Omo-Agege contested in 2007 and 2011 for the same position, adding that for the fact he is contesting again means he has a mission for the people of Delta State. He prayed for God guidance and protection as he continues with his mission to occupy the state house.
Speaking earlier, Ovie Omo-Agege reiterated that for the fact that he had contested for the position of governor in 2007 and 2011 did not mean that he is desperate to occupy the position of Delta State governor as claimed in some quarters, rather he pointed out that his ambition to occupy the position is because he has a passion to serve his people because they have done so much for him.
“I am not desperate. I have a passion to serve my people. My people have done so much for me. I have been blessed by Deltans as Executive Assistant, Commissioner, and Secretary to Delta State Government (SSG) in a state that have close to four million people. For me to be giving that privilege is not because I am the smartest, not because I am the best, but it is by the grace of God.
“The list I can I do is to pay back my people and my state. The only way I can pay back is to serve. The only place I can serve the people right now is for the office of the governor of Delta State,” he disclosed.

Omo-Agege who said Nigeria security problem is not Boko Haram but unemployment, promised the people that if he is elected the governor of Delta State, the trust of his policy would be the creation of jobs, adding that any programme he would introduce would be base on how many jobs it could produce.
“If the policy will not create enough jobs, no matter how good that policy will be, I will jettison it. The moment you create jobs for people, they will not be on the street to commit crime and there will be peace and order in the society.
He affirmed that Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has performed extremely well in his three points agenda which are human capital development, infrastructural development peace and security, but quickly added that someone has to take the programme to another level.
“I am here to take Delta State to another level”, he assured.
