LAGOS OCTOBER 13TH (URHOBOTODAY)-The Vice Principal of Dom Domingos College, Warri -, Delta State narrowly escaped death after he was attacked by suspected armed robbers by the school gate.
The robbers were reported to have taking away unspecified amount of cash, vital documents and mobile phones from the Vice principal.

Our correspondent learnt that the incident which occurred about 8am caused brief disruption of academic activities as motorists, teachers and students scampered for safety for several hours.
It, however, took the timely intervention of officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force from “B” Division to calm the tensed atmosphere, thereafter teaching and learning commenced in the school.
Our source revealed that the armed robbers trailed the Vice Principal of the college in her Jeep car from a commercial bank where she had gone to withdraw money with her ATM along airport road.
The armed robbers first shot the tyres of the vehicle in which the Vice-Principal was driving in at the entrance of the school gate before they shot her in the lap and dispossessed her of the money including documents before they zoomed off the scene.
As soon as the armed robbers left, other teachers and students quickly rushed the Vice-Principal to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The Divisional Police Officer of “B” Division declined comments on the matter, but a source within the police station stated that the police will ensure the robbery syndicate is tracked, arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the relevant laws.
