LAGOS MAY 11TH (URHOBOTODAY)-The Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation in the board of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESPADEC), Sir Kenny Okolugbo has called on élite groups, associations and people of Delta State to extend same support given to the administration of Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan to the incoming government of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
The Commissioner made the appeal when he donated on behalf of DESOPADEC a brand new Hiace Toyota bus 2015 Model to the Ukwuani Foundation Union (UFU), a group that has been in existence sincè 1937 promoting the cause of the Ukwuani people.

He enjoined the group to see the bus donation as means to boost their continuous propagation of developmental projects in Ndokwa nation, just as he assured them that more donations are coming.
Okolugbo who supported the appeal of the President of the UFU that the quantum sharing pattern of the commission need to be subjected to a review as Ndokwa Nation deserves more than 9%, noted that so much more could have been achieved if not for the constraints in funding due to the issue of quantum sharing.
“In Ndokwa, companies like Energia, Sterling Global, Platform Petroleum, Pillar and Midwestern among others which today are producing and exporting from its marginal fields where not captured. The indices which can only be ascertained accurately by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) can only come into force when the executive interface with the Legislature who actually are the only body that can change or amend the DESOPADEC Bill to reflect a change in quantum sharing amongst the major five ethnic Nationalities who are producing oil for now in commercial quantities and thus allowing Delta State to get 13% today from the federation account,” he observed.
He assured the people couple of projects are to be commissioned in the last days of the Government of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan which include the first glass house in Obiaruku built by DESOPADEC which has an event center, multipurpose hall, computer theater, library, restaurant, offices, rooms and research center among others.
He charged the people of Delta state not to draw conclusion easily about the present happenings in the commission but should have an informed unbiased analysis of the position of the commission before now and where it is presently.
