LAGOS MAY 15TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Labour Party(LP), Delta State Chapter has warned the National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Methu to desist from making what it called careless, wild and provocative media comments on the April 11, 2015 Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Delta State.
Chief Tony Ezeagwu, Delta State Chairman of LP, who was reacting to a statement credited to Metuh that PDP won the elections in Delta State, said the position was a lie as PDP violently subverted the will of the people, the constitution and extant laws to be wrongfully declared winner of the elections.

He said the thinking in Delta State is thatthe Independent national electoral Commission (INEC) made itself a willing partner with PDP in conjunction with some elements in the security agencies to take over the government of the state extra constitutionally.
He said the national security operatives helped the PDP to defeat the will of the people by bypassing the Card Reader innovation in about 2,600 out of the total 3,624 poling units.
He said, “We are talking about an election where the 724,680 votes allegedly received by Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP Governorship candidate, are more than the total accreditation of 714,921 inclusive of the use of the so called Incident Forms, an election where only about 4000,000 were duly authenticated by Card Readers. This implies that indeed only 4000,000 voters were recognized or verified by INEC’s system as registered. Yet Okowa was given 724,680 votes.”
