LAGOS NOVEMBER 25TH (URHOBOTODAY)- Early in the week, the Honourable Commissioner representing Ughelli North and Ethiope East Local Government Areas at the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Rt. Hon. (Chief) Ominimini Chris Obiuwevbi, commissioned multiple DESOPADEC projects which were initiated and completed by him, just as he inspected several on-going projects in various communities.
Amongst the projects commissioned were all DESOPADEC completed projects to the benefit of the people of oil producing communities including the general public within his jurisdiction. The projects so far commissioned were the installation of new working transformers at Etefe and Omakuvwhre communities, school block building of six classrooms each at Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS) Ughelli, Oghara, Agbarha-Otor Secondary School, Oghara and road projects at Oka Street and Hon. Mariere close amongst others.
The on-going DESOPADEC projects inspected were six classroom block and the fencing of Oghara Agbarha Primary School and an on-going Health Centre also in Oghara Agbarha-Otor.
According to Ominimini, more projects would be commissioned next week while new ones including town hall renovation and road will soon commence.
He urged the benefactors of the projects so far commissioned at various communities to make adequate and proper use of such projects and guide against vandalization of the projects.
Rt. (Hon) Chief Ominimini, told the people to be happy and identify with Governor Uduaghan, whom through DESOPADEC provided the projects to the people, describing the projects and more good things ahead of them as the dividends of democracy delivered to them at their various door steps by the good governance of Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan.
Responding, the principals of the affected schools and the various community chairmen, thanked Chief Ominimini and DESOPADEC for all the projects but like Oliver twist asked for more for which Hon. Ominimini promised to look into.
