Delta: Frustrated Plumber Baths Mother With Acid In Agbor
LAGOS JULY 14TH (URHOBOTODAY)-A plumber in his mid-40s identified as Steve Nwani has allegedly bathed his aged mother with a liquid substance suspected to be concentrated acid.
The incident occurred at the weekend, at Ahima in Alisimie-Agbor in Ika South local government area of Delta State.
According to an impeccable source close to the family, the plumber was said to have accused his mother of being responsible for his misfortunes in life.
A devout Christian of Baptist denomination, the plumber was said to have been facing some challenges in life in recent times which he attributed to his mother.
The authoritative source added that the acid victim was immediately rushed to an undisclosed medical facility for treatment where she was said to be responding to treatment.
The incident, which jolted members of the community, is eliciting serious reactions from the people with most of them condemning the unfortunate incident.
Having realised that his mother survived the attack, the plumber was said to have gone into hiding, ostensibly to evade police arrest.
Meanwhile, the wife of the plumber was said to be in custody of the police in Agbor where she was assisting them to unravel the whereabouts of her husband.
