Delta: Fire Victims of Kolokolo Quarters in Warri Appeal for Help

LAGOS OCTOBER 6TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Victims of fire disaster in Kolokolo quarters of Enerhen in Uvwie Council area of Delta State are appealing to the Delta State Government, Uvwie Council, Philanthropists and relevant agencies for succour following the loss of goods and property worth millions of naira in a recent fire outbreak.
The fire incidence which took the unsuspecting victims unawares occurred on Sunday morning, October 2nd, 2016 when they had all gone to their various places of worship.
The fire, as it was gathered, started from one of the apartments when electric power was restored to the neighbourhood, which victims attributed to power surge.
The fire would have wrecked more havoc but for the timely intervention of the Delta State Fire Services, which succeeded in stopping the further spread of the fire to other buildings.
Items consumed in the fire incidence ranged from building materials, clothing, electronics, shops and personal belongings of the residents.
The shop owners who usually do not open on Sundays stated that they have lost everything, coupled with the current hardship being experienced in the country as a result of the ongoing economic recession.
In the wake of the event, they called on the Delta State Government. Uvwie Council, Philanthropist, well meaning Nigerians and relevant agencies to come to their aid
