LAGOS JANUARY 22ND (URHOBOTODAY)-Amori Senatorial Ambition Suffers Setback after an Open Confrontation with Urhobo Youths
The hopes of People Democratic Party (P.D.P) Delta Central Senatorial candidate, Chief Ighoyota Amori to win the forth coming election was today further dashed after having an open confrontation with Urhobo Youths representing the UPU youth wing in Ughelli.

According to our source, hell was let loose today when UPU Youth wing leaders stormed number 5 Orisejobor Street, Otovwodo Ughelli were Chief Ighoyota Amori was about to hold a consultation meeting with one prominent son of Ughelli kingdom Chief Steve Oru. It was
gathered that the UPU Youth leaders who were very close to the venue and on hearing about the visit went to the venue to confront Chief Ighoyota Amori and demand for redress for all the atrocities that he has committed against the Urhobo Nation.
On seeing the Youths with placards protesting, Prince Eric Oharisi (PDP House of Assembly Aspirant for Ughelli North Constituency II) and Oteri Community Youth Chairman Mr. Uteme Bateren led thugs to harass the UPU Youth Leaders for openly protesting the presence of Chief Ighoyota Amori.
The incident resulted in chaotic situation that could have lead to blood shed if not for the timely intervention by Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area Honourable Kenneth Ibru and timely intervention of security personnel present in the scene.
The Youths have therefore vowed that they would do everything humanly possible to ensure that Chief Ighoyota Amori loss the Senatorial election in the forth coming election. They vowed to make him pay for the sins that he has committed against Urhobo Nation which included the roles he played in the PDP gubernatorial primary were where he worked against the Urhobo interest of producing the next governor of the state.
An eye witness who simply identified himself as James for security reasons disclosed that the meeting could not hold due to the confrontation by the youths. He said the ugly event as a big minus to the political ambition of Chief Ighoyota Amori. Noting that this open rejection by the Urhobo Youths is enough to destabilize Chief Ighoyota Amori politically and put his senatorial ambition into jeopardy.
His words, “Chief Ighoyota Amori is jeopardizing his senatorial ambition with the way he is going with the Urhobo Youths. This confrontation by the youths is a clear indication that they will not vote for him in the forth coming general election. Without the votes of the youths, he cannot win so it is better for him to shallow his pride and settle with the youths if truly he wish to win the election”.
Another eye witness wondered why political candidate would lead thugsagainst aggrieved Youths of Urhoboland who are on a peaceful mission of seeking redress. The eye witness who pleaded anonymity was referring to Prince Eric Oharisi who was said to have led the thugs alongside Mr. Uteme Bateren to harass UPU Youths. He said that this is a clear indication that those that are contesting do not have the interest of the people at heart. He wondered what he will do if voted for at the end of the day.
