LAGOS APRIL 25TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Angry mob yesterday set ablaze three suspected armed robbers for allegedly stealing, maiming and dispossessing residents of Okumagba Community of their personal effects.
The robbers were set ablaze at different locations which include the popular Okumagba Estate area, a distance not far from the Police “B” Division in Warri at about 4pm.
It was gathered that, the suspected armed robbers began their nefarious and criminal activities around Dimony Street through Ekuruemu(Behind St. James Anglican Church) to Erhirowherhe shouting “Oleh”, while dispossessing residents as well as passersbyers of their personal effects including cash.
An eyewitness who spoke to Peoples Daily on condition of anonymity said, “ the boys started operating from Domony Street. They stole from people while brandishing daggers and knife shouting oleh! Oleh!! Oleh!!! At the same time, while they are the real thieves.””I like the way they born them.”
The Divisional Police Officer of “B” Division, CSP Anieteh Eyoh declined comments on the matter when journalists sought his opinion on the matter but a source within the police said, “the matter is under investigation and that the police is doing all it can to prevent jungle justice in the area as well as protect lives and properties of Nigerians.”
