Group under aegis of Urhobo Political Vision has solicited for the unity of Urhobo towards 2015 general election, just as it lament the neglect and marginalization of the Urhobos in both state and federal level.
Urhobo Political Vision (UPV) is a political pressure group comprising Urhobo youths from the eight local government areas of Delta Central.

The Chairman of Urhobo Political Vision, Comrade Kingsley Agaya who made the call while speaking with Urhobotoday after its meeting at Orerokpe, Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, expressed bitterness over the total neglect and marginalization of Urhobos in the present dispensation, adding that it is painful that the Urhobos are conspicuously missing at the elms of affairs either at Abuja or Asaba despite their huge population and mass support for Jonathan;s government.
“When you go to Abuja, it is difficult for you to see an Urhobo who is a Permanent Secretary or Director in any parastatals,” Agaya alleged.
Lamenting the fate of his kinsmen, he maintained that despite the “huge votes” casted for President Jonathan in the last general election, it is unfortunate that Urhobo man is not a member of the Federal Executive Council, Chairman of a committee in Federal House of Representatives or the Senate.
He pointed out that the group is not out to witch hunt anybody but to position Urhobos for 2015 in so as not to push the Urhobos around.
The National Organising Secretary, Chief Godwin Akpokemera clarified that the group is not out to fight anyone, but to resolve the issues of Deltans which affect Urhobo, Itsekiri, Isoko or Anioma.
Mr. Agbemre Samson, National Secretary of the group said that it is expedient for Urhobos to come together “because for now it seems we are not being carry along in the general system. We will succeed in genuinely uniting Urhobos.”
