LAGOS SEPTEMBER 14TH (URHOBOTODAY)-President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and six Governors from the Western region of Nigeria are expected to attend the occasion of the launch of Western Post, a newspaper founded by seasoned journalist, Tunde Rahman.
The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is to Chair the occasion, while Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola will be special guest of honour.
Other governors expected at the occasion are Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, the Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose; the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Lasun will also grace the newspaper launch..
A statement made available to Urhobotoday an online medium by the management of Western Post Newspaper disclosed that the event will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Civic Center Hall of Bashorun Agodi, GRA, Ibadan, Oyo State, adding that the topic for debate at the launch is: ‘The dwindling oil revenue: A case for regional integration.’
The statement affirmed that before establishing Western Post, Rahman was the Editor of ThisDay on Sunday, adding that he had also worked with The Punch, Daily Times other and highly rated publications in Nigeria.
