Mrs Patience Jonathan

LAGOS JULY 23RD (URHOBOTODAY)-First Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan, is on her way back to Nigeria following the tragic death of her mother in a car crash on Monday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Sources told our correspondent in Abuja this afternoon that Mrs Jonathan and the entourage who were in Geneva on official assignment are on their way back to the country following the orders given by the distraught woman who could not attend to scheduled engagements. Mrs Jonathan, a knight of the Anglican Church that gives her the title Dame was said to be mourning the sudden exit of her mother since the news got to her Monday evening.
The news of the death of the woman known in some circle as her foster mother, Mrs. Iwar-Oba, was said to have been broken to her in Geneva by her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan through the telephone Monday evening.
Mrs. Iwarioba was reported to have died in a road crash at Elele in Rivers State while on her way to neighbouring Bayelsa State. Her body was deposited at the Kpaima Mortuary on Elechi Beach, Mile One, Diobu, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, around 6 pm, by the self-acclaimed “Speaker” of Rivers House of Assembly, Mr. Evans Bipi, accompanied by scores of policemen.
