Matrix Energy Empowers 155 Itsekiris in Delta State

WARRI: Matrix Energy Limited, an oil giant has empowered One Hundred and Fifty-Five persons in five Itsekiri communities in Warri South Local Government area of Delta state. The beneficiaries are from Aja-Etan, Ifiekporo, Ijala, Ubeji and Egbokodo communities..
While presenting the cheques to the recipients, the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Matrix Energy, Alhaji Abdulkabir Adisa Aliu said the beneficiaries were made up 94 women and 61 undergraduates in various Universities across the country.
Aliu said that the women empowerment and student scholarship programme was initiated two years ago to help the people of the host communities.

He explained that as part of its corporate social responsibility to her host communities, the gesture was to exhibit the widely acclaimed Nigerian spirit of love, brotherhood and support that are essential elements for peace, development and progress.
Matrix Energy Managing Director/Chief Executive explained further that the relationship between Matrix and its host communities goes beyond women empowerment and student scholarship noting that a whopping N10m was spent on the renovation of the Ifiekporo health centre encompassing the provision of a 15KVA generating set, monthly purchase of free drugs and physical facility upgrade.
Alhaji Aliu disclosed that they have spent over N15m on the development of road network within their areas of operation, adding that so far 335 persons have been empowered across these communities since 2012.
According to him, “Matrix Energy has been in the vanguard of ensuring regular petroleum product supplies to many states of the Federation from its base inWarri and have assisted the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company, WRPC, in time fuel scarcity in the areas of storage and distribution.”
While re-assuring of their commitment to sustain it and paid glowing tribute to the Itsekiri monarch, HRM Ogiame Atuwatse 11(CON), Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and the Transition Committee Chairman of Warri South Council, Dr. Austine Uroye for their tremendous support to Matrix Energy operation.
Meanwhile, Matrix Energy has been in the vanguard of ensuring regular petroleum product supplies to many states of the Federation from its base in the oil rich city of Warri and have assisted the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) in time fuel scarcity in the areas of storage and distribution.
