Delta is the Fastest Infrastructural Developing State in Nigeria-Onuesoke

LAGOS APRIL 8TH (URHOBOTODAY)-The Project Director of Ughelli-Asaba Dualisation Road Project in Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has described Delta State as the fastest infrastructural Developing state in Nigeria.
Onuesoke who made the observation while inspecting work done so far in the ongoing Ughelli-Asaba dualisation road project said Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan’s administration has vigorously pursued its infrastructural development programme such that the whole of Delta State has become one huge construction site, adding that key projects like the Asaba International airport had been completed and Asaba- Ughelli road dualisation projects is on going.
He maintained that roads, bridges, sports facilities, beautification and erosion control measures among others, are visible across the nooks and crannies of Delta State.
He pointed out that the Ughelli-Asaba dualisation project is a major infrastructural project being embark upon by the state government, adding that if completed it is expected to jump-start economic activities around the whole State as it would open up commercial activities for traders and businesses across the State serving as a gateway to the East and also facilitating optimal usage of the proposed Asaba Business District
“It will also facilitate optimal usage of Asaba International Airport and the proposed Asaba Business District. It would encouraged agricultural development and ease transporation of agricultural products from the rural areas to the urban area, Beside, there will be free movement of goods and service all over the state and other parts of the country,” Onusesoke noted.
Onuesoke who appealed to indigenes of the communities to cooperate with workers of Consolidated Construction Company (CCC) saddled with responsibility of constructing the Asaba -Ughelli Dualisation Road project because they would be the first to benefit from the project said besides projects already completed, other major road projects undertaken by the present administration include, “beautification and construction of over head bridge at Effurun Roundabout, Construction of BRT Route from Effurun Road about to Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA), construction of Delta State Independent Power Project Construction of the Sapele-Abigborodo road, dualisation of Asaba-Ughelli road, dualisation of old Lagos / Asaba road, Boji-Boji, Construction of Koko-Uba-Egbelemeji road, Dualisation of Ughelli-Arterial roads and dualisation of Ajamimuogha among others.”
He maintained that beside the ongoing projects Delta State government had built bridges across the state, constructed 10,000 seating capacity Event Centre in the state capital, Asaba, constructed 120 Housing units at Ogwashi Uku, rehabilitated Anykoromo Community and expansded Osubi Airport.
According to him, other infrastructural achievements are establishment of Koko Free Trade Zone, establishment of Warri Industrial Business Park and Provision of Skill Acquisition Centers at various locations across the state among others..
