Jonathan’s Visit to China’ll Boost Development in Niger Delta-Orubebe

LAGOS JULY 15TH (URHOBOTODAY)-The people of Niger Delta region has been reported to be among those who will benefit from the recent visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the Republic of China.
This information was handed down by the Media Team of Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Elder Godsday Orubebe who was among the officials who travelled with President Goodluck Jonathan on a five day official visit to China.
In a statement, the Media Team of the Minister pointed out that the President visit to China would further boost the ongoing development in the Niger Delta Region hence the economic bilateral agreement reached between Nigeria and China would trigger the influx of Chinese investors into Niger Delta region who would tap the vast natural resources in the region for the good of the region.
“ The recent official visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to China will be of great benefit to the people of Niger Delta region, because with the Minister of Niger Delta Elder Godsday Orubebe being part of the visiting team to China, he will come with new wealth of experience which will be reflected in the development of the region. Niger Delta Region is bound to experience a new era of investors trooping to the Region to tap on the vast natural resources in our Region.” The statement disclosed, adding that the vast experience Orubebe gained in the visit would come to play in the transformation of the region.
The statement recalled that only recently Orubebe declared in an interview about his commitment in complimenting PresIdent Goodluck Jonathan in moving the Nation forward.
“Orubebe said as far as he is concerned, His immediate concern is to work for Mr. President and support him to enable him deliver his transformation agenda,” the statement said.
The statement disclosed that China being the largest crude oil importer in Nigeria after America would be of good benefit to Niger Delta region in term of investment which will in turn transcend into provision of industry and employment in both oil sector and other areas.
