I’ll Add Value to Delta State Governance- Omo-Agege

DOBAISI OVIE OMO-AGEGE BOWING BEFORE HRM (AVM) LUCKY OCHUKO ARARI AVWAEKE 1 OVIE OF UMIAGHWA-ABRAKA KINGDOM, PROF CHIEF & CHIEF MRS. SAM OYOVBAIRE, FORMER MINISTER OF INFORMATION

LAGOS AUGUST 17TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Ahead of the 2015 general election, former Secretary to the Delta State Government, Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege, says he is running for the gubernatorial seat because of his conviction that he can add value to governance in the state, insisting that he is not a reluctant aspirant.
“I am running because I feel I can add value to governance. That was what propelled me in 2007 and 2011, but I was not successful; this is not enough for me to say that the dream should die.
“I want to contribute my quota to the development of the state. If I didn’t think I have the capacity to give good governance to Deltans, I will not bring myself to vie for the position.”
Omo-Agege, who spoke during his consultation visits to the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ethiope East, Ethiope West, Uvwie, Sapele, Warri South and Warri North local government areas, on his gubernatorial quest, said he was the best man to govern the state after Uduaghan.
He vowed to guarantee 35 per cent women representation in the governance of the state if elected, emphasizing that, “35 per cent across board in the area of appointments would be guaranteed for women.”
Reiterating his desire to sustain, expand and provide adequate funding for the Delta State Micro Credit Scheme with a view to making micro finances available for indigent women, the governorship hopeful further assured that skill acquisition opportunities would also be created for the women.
