LAGOS JUNE 28TH (URHOBOTODAY) Delta State Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Utuama (SAN) has advised politicians in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the State to be united and cooperate among themselves.
Giving the advise in a speech delivered on his behalf by his wife, Mrs. Tuwere Utuama, during a thanks giving ceremony to commemorate the nomination, election and swearing of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman of Ughelli South LGA Chief (Hon) Francis Aguonigho at God Elect Church, Udu Road, Udu LGA . said what is needed in Ughelli South LGA is unity and co-operation among the political class, adding that there were some people who not want the unity of the local government for their selfish interest.
‘We are in the process of uniting everybody, we are one. If you do Not pull down the person in position, it could be you tomorrow. All fingers are not equal. Certainly, God has plans for you. No human being can take it away from you. If you are jealous of your neighbour, then God will be angry with you. Ughelli south is too full of people who are jealous. It will not lead us to anywhere,” He noted.
Utuama commending Chief Aguonigho saying that as a bridge builder, he would be able to unite the party in Ughelli south.
In an interview with journalists,the celebrant Chief Aguonigho who said he has every reason to thank God for what he has been doing in his life, lamented that he would have long be chairman of the PDP, Ughelli chapter since 2007. He, however thank God has finally materialized.
Aguonigho thanked all political leaders in Ughelli South LGA especially the Deputy Governor Prof. Amos Utuama and party faithfuls, while he urging them to be patient in other for them to reap the dividends of democracy. He said he would soon summon PDP meeting in the area.
The General Overseer of God Elect Church, Rev. Emmanuel Udogun i commended Olorugun Aguonigho for appreciating what God has done for him and finding time to thank him. He said God will continue to elevate the Ughelli South PDP Boss since he has appreciated what God has done for him.
Highlights of the occasion was the thanksgiving proper by Olorugun Aguonigho’s family, friends and well wishers. Present at the occasion were Chief Dr. Adasen, Chief .E.O. Obofukuro, Chief Joe Unuame, Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege, Chief( Sir) and Mrs. Tom Amioku, Prince Fragene Godwin, Elder David Edono, Samuel Abido and Princes Eguono Ogbon among others
