Delta State Isoko: Council Boss Escapes Lynching by Irate Youths

It was reliably gathered that the embattled chairman, who traveled home last weekend to felicitate with the former vice chancellor of Delta State University, Prof. Abednego Ekoko who regained his freedom from the kidnappers den.
According to a council official who accompanied the council boss “On arrival, the visibly angry youths numbering over two hundred barricaded the entrance to the professor’s house and resisted the chairman vehemently from gaining access to the compound. Infact, he was humiliated, pushed and buddle out of the gate entrance. If not God, the youths would have set ablaze his official car.”
It was also gathered that stones were allegedly hauled on the chairman and his orderly when he was leaving the premises.
The youth accused the chairman of taking side with what they described as disgruntled elements who are bent at fanning ember of crisis and discord in the kingdom.
It was further gathered that the community leadership and sons and daughters had ignored invitation by the peace and security committee set up by the chairman to find a lasting peace to the lingering crisis rocking the kingdom which they said was a compromised, null and void committee that has no locus standi to handle the crisis.
The community also accused the council boss of acting scripts written by his masters as far as the Uzere crisis is concerned.
When contacted on phone, the chairman who burst into laughter debunked the story saying “There is no iota of truth in the story. The story is unfounded. I don’t know why people go about speculating things that are unfounded. Uzere is my constituency, that is where I come from and nobody can humiliate me.
