Delta LGA Election: Vote for Credible Leaders, Udu Youth Scribe, Jefia Dede Advised
LAGOS JUNE 18TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Secretary General of Udu Youth Council (UYC), Comrade Jefia Dede, has appealed to the people of Udu Local Government Area to be very prudent when choosing their leaders in the forthcoming elections.
Jefia Dede who made the appeal recently at the secretariat of the group in Ovwian, Delta State, while addressing group of journalists disclosed that only leaders of integrity and credibility who are accessible and accountable to the masses should be voted for.
He observed that some politicians have failed in these areas, thus, they should not be voted into offices.
He further urged Udu leaders who are currently occupying positions to show their report card of the things they have done since elected or appointed into positions which they held in trust for the people.
While calling on Delta State Governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan to use his last days in office to carry out people-oriented projects and programmes in Udu Local Government Area, the Secretary, who is critical of the Uduaghan administration expressed satisfaction over the near completion of the Igbogidi Model Primary School by the State Government, noting that this will ameliorate the learning of the pupils.
He appealed that the Governor’s gesture should also be extended to Secondary schools in Udu Local Government to replicate what was done in other Local Government Areas.
