Delta 2015: I’m in the Race to Win- Omo-Agege….Assures Deltans of Better Life if Elected

LAGOS JUNE 18TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Foremost Governorship hopeful in the 2015 polls from Delta Central, Obarisi Barr Ovie Omo-Agege has declared that he is in the race to win, assuring that when elected, his government would provide equal opportunities for Deltans to actualise their respective dreams in life.
He added that his administration will pay particular attention to the creation of jobs and business opportunities for those who want to work and those who want to set up businesses respectively.
He gave the assurances while fielding questions from newsmen during the PDP Delta Central sensitisation rally in Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State on Monday June 16, 2014.
Obarisi, the former Secretary to the Delta State Government in response to a question on the many aspirants in the race, said he was not worried by it, adding that any Deltan who is constitutionally qualified and want to contest is free to do so. He said he is presently consulting with leaders and stakeholders in the party to intimate them of his developmental plans for the State. He hoped that at the end of the primary process PDP will come out stronger so as to consolidate the gains of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan government.
On the forth-coming local government elections, Omo-Agege assured that PDP would come out of the council poll stronger as the best materials from all over the state would be fielded by the party.
‘’A lot of our party members have indicated interest in the local government elections. I believe at the end of the day the best people will emerge to fly the flag of our great party.The Party leadership at all levels is fully prepared to ensure the right thing is done so as to gain the confidence of the masses. I can assure all the aspirants that the leadership of the PDP in Delta State will not disappoint’’, he said, He urged all those who are running to continue to do so in a non violent manner.
The governorship hopeful also appealed to party leaders and faithfuls in the state to use the forthcoming polls to consolidate the unity that now exist within the party, stressing that when PDP is united, there will be no room for other parties in the state.
The rally which was well attended by party leaders and stakeholders from all over Delta Central was meant to mobilise support for the party, receive new members from other political parties and prepare the people for the forth-coming local government and the 2015 general elections.
