LAGOS JUNE 19TH (URHOBOTODAY)-House of Representative aspirant in Ughelli Constituency 1,Ufuoma Omax Eshareturi who declared his intention to run for the position recently, has assured people of his constituency that he would turn their lives around for good if voted into office. ..
Declaring his intention to run for the position at the residence of PDP ward 3-7 Leader, Chief (Major) Patrick A. Egone in Ughelli, Ughelli North L.G.A of Delta state, Eshareturi who said he had all it takes to represent the constituency disclosed that he had accumulated a lot of legislative experience because he had been a consultant to many senators in the past eight years.
He said his interest in the race is not because he wanted to enrich himself, but rather because, he wanted to serve the good people of the constituency and to ensure that unemployment becomes a thing of the past.
He said if voted for, he would initiate bills that will bring about the development of the constituency, just as he promised to bring about agricultural development, massive training and employment of the youths, provision of free educational and medical acids, and facilitation of SME loans to the constituency and industrialization of not just the ward, but the constituency at large.
He also, promised to upgrade the Ogor Technical Collage to an international standard vocational collage, create awareness on carbon credit earnings in conformity with the Koyoto protocol on clean development mechanism (CDM), adding that he would channel his salary as a member of the house of representative into providing projects that would bring about the development of the constituency.
According to him, “I wish to state it here that if voted for, I shall give back by salary to the people that voted me in by using the money paid to me in the house as a member to carry out projects that would bring about the development of my people. I promise to do this because I wish to serve my people without been paid for it”.
The Chairman of PDP ward 37, Hon. Austin Emosevwe described the aspirant as a man that can be trusted and entrusted with the votes of the people, for effective representation. He therefore, assured him of the vote of the ward in the upcoming elections.
Princess (Mrs.) Ayomanor Florence, who spoke on behalf of the women of the ward, said they would vote for Mr. Ufuomao Max Eshareturi to become their representative, because they see him as a man that can bring about the much needed development to the constituency.
The youth leader of the ward, Comr. Bright Odemedewhe, assured the aspirant of the total support and co- operation of the youths of the ward towards ensuring that he becomes a member of the house of representative next year.
His words “We the youths of this ward wish to assure you that success is yours as you embark on this wonderful project. We shall vote for you and give you the needed support in other to win the election next year”
The ward leader, Chief (Major) Patrick A. Egone prayed for the aspirant and told him that they are solidly behind him. He said victory is sure because the ward would work with him. He however, advice the aspirant to remember the people after been voted for.
His words “My son, you have our blessings. We shall vote for you to become our representative but please do not forget to fulfill your promises after we have voted for you in the upcoming general elections”. PDP ward 37 is made of seven villages in Ughelli namely; Eruemukowharien, Odovie, Ujode, Ogbovwan, ododegho, iwhremaro, and Afiesere.
