LAGOS OCTOBER 4TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer in the Delta Central Senatorial election, Chief Emmanuel Aguariavbodo and his campaign team got what they did not bargain for on Friday when hoodlums suspected to be gang of arrested Delta State Kidnap Kingpin Kevin Oniarha held them hostage for hours in the palace of the Monarch of Kokori, Delta State.
Urhobotoday reliably gathered that the campaign team which include two Monarchs, two Local Government Chairmen, Commissioners, Government Aides and pressmen among other personalities have gone to Kokori to campaign and sensitise the people of the community on the need to vote for Aguariavbodo in the forth coming Delta Central Senatorial election.

Thus, on arrival at the community, they decided to visit the Monarch of the community as a sign of respect but they got what they did not bargain for when they started hearing sporadic sound of gun shots from hoodlums suspected to be members of the gang of arrested kidnap Kingpin Kevin Oniarha alleged to be cooling off in a confinement at Abuja.
Urhobotoday gathered that the hudlums who were armed with sophisticated weapons stormed the palace shooting at all direction with those present taking cover and hiding place in any available safe place within the palace to avoid bullet from hitting them.
Our source who was among those held hostage who spoke to us on telephone disclosed that security men who were in the campaign team could not withstand the fire power of the boys as such they took to their heels abandoning their bosses to their fate. Some of the security were alleged to have pulled off their uniforms and mixed up with those on mufty.
According to our source, the hoodlums grievances was that the Monarch who hosted Aguariavbodo and his campaign team do not stay in the community but do visit when he had visitor to attend to. Beside, they argued that ever since military men held Kokori hostage and killing their youths in pretext of hunting for Kevin and his boys, the government has not done anything to help their situation.
Our contact however disclosed that the arrival of soldier men with superior weapons drove the hoodlums away into the forest before they were able to escape from the palace.
Urhobotoday cannot reveal if there were casualties or not as our source who is present in shock suspended further discussion with our men in the office. He, however, disclosed that vehicles parked outside the palace were set ablaze by the hoodlums.

Urhobotoday, however, promised to update his teeming readers in due course. But there property like vehicles parked outside the palace were set ablaze by the hoodlums.
As at press time, about 10 pick up loads of soldiers are heading towards Kokori from Ughelli with helicopter hovering on the air probably in search of the boys believed to have hidded in the thick forest of Kokori.
There is the unfounded rumour that it was Kevin himself who lead the gang that held the campaign team hostage. If this insinuation is true, that means the argument making the rounds that it was not Kevin that was arrested but one of his boys could be true. Those close to Kokori community have argued that nobody can arrest Kevin because of his spiritual power which he got from the shrine of the community. They claim the man is invisible and he has no where to go to but stay put in Kokori. They also argued that nobody know Kevin by face as such the security men cannot claim that it was Kevin that is under their custody.
“Kevin has spiritual power giving to him by the gods of Kokori. He is invisible and can vanish anytime. The person they claimed to have arrested in a hotel at Port Harcourt is not Kevin but a mistaking identify. He has nothing to do in Port Harcourt. Nobody know Kevin and as such he cannot be arrested. If they claim he is Kevin, they should parade him before the media houses for all of to us,’ indigenes of Kokori who did not want his names on printed demanded.
Be that as it may Urhobotoday will give you further s=details of what happened in Kokori and if Kevin was involved or not in due course as we await the arrival of our correspent from the scene of hostage of Aguariavbodo campaign team.
